Futian Zhuxiang School – Canteen Oil Smoke Rectification - Kitchen Smoke Purification Project

This project rectified the canteen oil smoke system at Futian Zhuxiang Public Primary School. The canteen building is low, with the original exhaust facing directly toward surrounding residential buildings. Lunch and dinner cooking oil smoke and odors drifted into homes, triggering concentrated resident complaints and environmental inspection rectification orders. The school is very close to residences, and daytime construction noise would severely disturb residents. The rooftop has no independent machine room, with only the ceiling cavity available. An ultra-thin ceiling-mounted integrated quiet purification unit was installed hidden in the kitchen ceiling. The original low exposed duct was replaced with an internal dedicated shaft extending upward for high-altitude emission, using high-altitude airflow for dilution. The unit pairs with a dual-layer soundproof fan, with duct outer insulation wrapping. Two-stage filtration with activated carbon handles primary school light cooking odors. Construction was time-segmented: noisy cutting and hoisting at night, daytime for duct sealing and quiet commissioning. Post-operation, residents' oil smoke complaints have been completely eliminated, teaching areas and playgrounds have no cooking odors, the unit runs quietly, and emissions remain stably compliant.
